I adore shooting weddings in the gorgeous MountDruid Boutique Camping so when Cormac & Honora booked me as their wedding photographer I was over the moon. I had first ‘met’ Honora on Instagram a few years previous to their wedding, where we had mutual adoration for dogs and all things ‘wedding’. We finally met in person at Honora’s friend’s wedding and completely clicked. So when Cormac and Honora got engaged and contacted me to photograph their wedding I was ecstatic!! The plan for their wedding was to make it as relaxed and enjoyable as possible and you can see from the photos below that they not only succeeded on this but went above and beyond.
Cormac’s brother conducted the ceremony, with friends and family taking part reading poetry, playing music and lighting candles. It was beautiful and personal. After the ceremony the couple and I went for a little wander around doing photos. This is one of the best things about Mount Druid as there’s so many photo opportunities and you don’t have to venture too far. From here, we joined all their friends in the boat house for music and drinks. They had decided there would be no speeches at the wedding but Cormac and Honora took this moment to thank everyone and had a little gush over each other too. For the meal, they had a BBQ. This is such a great way to get all your guests mingling with each other . It works really well to create a good atmosphere. Because they didn’t have speeches or a ‘cutting of the cake’, the party got started immediately after the meal. Spirits were high so when the first dance started everyone was raring to go. The first dance included EVERYONE. It was amazing to photograph.
From start to finish this was an incredible wedding. Cormac and Honora are little gems and it was an honour to photograph their beautiful wedding day. X
