Let me introduce you to Aoife, Gary and their beautiful daughter Ella. These people are beyond gorgeous. So full of love and happiness.

I had met Aoife on another wedding where she was bridesmaid and we instantly clicked, so I was over the moon when she got in contact with me to photograph her wedding. Being proud Dubs, there was never a doubt that the wedding was going to be city centre. On the morning of the wedding, Aoife and Gary got ready closeby to one another so I was able to go back and forth for all the bridal preparations. Both houses were completely hyper. Non stop howling laughter.

There’s something very special about City Hall. It really is such a spectacular building to have your wedding ceremony in and for such a large building, it feels like the most intimate setting. After their beautiful ceremony, Aoife, Gary and all the guests walked over to Nolita. This was so much fun and it half reminded me of an excited group of kids on a school tour. Everyone was giddy and ready to party.¬†Aoife and Gary didn’t want a traditional venue and their biggest wish was for every part of the day to feel like ‘them’ so Nolita was the perfect choice.

For the portrait session, we didn’t have to go very far to get the best backdrops in Dublin that mean so much to Aoife and Gary. Plus, having Hogan’s pub to yourself for a pint on your wedding day is nothing short of a miracle. I’m not sure I have ever been there when it’s empty, so when Aoife and Gary saw this they took a moment to sit together and enjoy a quiet drink before joining the rest of the crew back in Nolita for a whopper celebration.

Both Aoife and Gary said that the highlight of the whole day was sharing it with their daughter Ella, who is ridiculously cute and played such a blinder all day. I have never seen a toddler mingle so much at a wedding. Mini social butterfly! Having her there all day meant the most to them.

I’m beyond thankful to have spent time with all these wonderful people who constantly remind me to be grateful to call this my job. X
