I know I’m more than a little bit behind on my blogging but to get me back into the swing of things here’s a look at Claire & Nico’s wedding in Bellinter House on Nov 11th 2013.
I never got the chance to meet Claire & Nico before their wedding day but after long chats with Claire over the phone, I was SO excited to photograph their wedding day. Nico is Italian. Claire is Irish (flaming red hair, Donegal-Irish!!!) Their wedding was a small intimate affair, all set on the grounds of Bellinter House. Even with Nico’s family not speaking a word of English the craic was wild at this wedding! The ceremony didn’t take place until after 3 so the guests had lots of time to hang out and get to know each other, and Claire could get ready upstairs without any rush involved.
After the short ceremony, Claire donned a pair of wellies ( there was no chance she was going to risk ruining her Manolo’s!!!) and the 3 of us headed off on a wander around the grounds of Bellinter. Claire had told me that Nico was a nervous wreck whenever a camera was near him, so we needed to do the photos as quickly as possible ……. Fortunately, as soon as Nico stood beside Claire, all his nerves went straight out the window. He couldn’t take his eyes off his stunning bride and forgot there was even a camera nearby!!
From start to finish I had a ball photographing this wedding. The families singing to each other during the photos, the beautiful flowers & cake by Once Upon A Time Cakes & Flowers , to the stunning details scattered around the venue by Claire, it really was the most beautiful day … mainly because Claire & Nico made everyone feel so comfortable and welcome at their wedding. This Italian/Irish combo is complete perfection! X
