In the last couple of years weddings have become more relaxed, featuring vintage and rustic details throughout the day, but unfortunately at the same time brides have still felt as though they have to be perfectly coiffed, in the big white dress and the highest designer heels they can find! This shoot was to inspire a completely different approach for a bride. A more relaxed approach. Here, a bride can wear flat shoes, wear her hair in any way that she’s comfortable, have a simple but delicious victoria sponge wedding cake without any crazy decorations, throw on an aran cardi in the evning if she feels cold (It is Ireland after all, & I’m not sure we need to brave the cold in strapless dresses!!) and bring colour into her wedding in not just the flowers! (we went with a pop of neon pink in every shot)

Most brides want to look a better version of themselves on their wedding day, not a completely different person.
